Construction Starts Rebound in November
November construction starts increased 7% from October. Since a 16% seasonal decline is typical in November, this is a very strong starts report. It is consistent with the large drop in construction layoffs and 1.6% increase in job-site hours worked in November reported by the Census Bureau earlier this month.
