The results for 25 major cities are shown for four public sector building types – three law enforcement structures and a post office. Permits Decline Except in Texas and Carolinas
Four cities in Texas, three in North Carolina and two in South Carolina are nine of the seventeen housing markets where permits over the last year are double or more the national average of permits per population. El Paso continues to have the most intense housing development.

Housing Market Weakens in February
The latest housing market reports were uniformly weak except for a marginal pick up in pending home sales. The February weakness follows generally neutral reports for the housing market in January.
